My Family
Family is another big part of my life. As the oldest of seven children, I grew up in a loud and busy household. There were always a variety of activities going on in the home, as there were always seven sets of feet stomping in the living room at once! As the oldest of seven children, I had a variety of responsibilities and duties to help set an example for the younger children in my family. Many of my leadership skills and my communication skills were developed while growing up as the oldest of seven children in my family, I learned how to communicate with seven different personalities, to care for my siblings, and to hold everything together when it got especially hectic in the household.
Growing My Own Family
This summer will mark a major milestone in my life as I will be having my first child. It is one of those life events that one cannot prepare for, but often has great excitement surrounding it. As someone who grew up in a large family, I feel that having my own family is a natural next step. There is something special about going from being the oldest of a large family to having one start their own family. I am excited for the future and cannot wait for the next season to arrive so soon.
